Dear Community,

The Gender Resource Center Campaign (GRCC) is holding an Orientation today, Thursday, December 3rd from 2PM – 5 PM in SH 558.

The orientation will be conducted in 2 sessions (2:00 PM to 3:15 PM & 3:45 to 5:00 PM) to accommodate potential scheduling conflicts. The orientation serves to introduce interested community members to the campaign , our history and our mission. Most importantly, the orientation will provide information on ways to become allies, spread resources, offer support, and become part of the GRCC coalition.

The Gender Resource Center Campaign was launched to make a space to advocate for victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. The earliest call for a space was in 2008, and was a call to action out of the 16 Days at City College programming that was housed in the Morales Shakur Student and Community Center. This orientation was curated with this historical memory in mind.

The Gender Resource Center Campaign  is a community coalition comprised of:

Sister Circle Collective  (SCC)
Anthropology Student Association
CCNY Students Active for Ending Rape (SAFER)
Government and Law Society (GLS)
Students for Educational Rights (SER)
The Roosevelt Institute at City College of New York
Student Association for International Studies (SAIS)

If you have any questions, concerns, or can’t make it to the orientation, feel free to contact GRC through our Facebook Page or WordPress.

Please join us in our fight for survivor-centric approaches to gender-based violence! We hope to see you soon!

In solidarity,
the GRC Campaign
